The basic track fitting course for curtains and blinds:
1. Introduction: course outline and house keeping
2. Health & Safety issues
3. Working on domestic and commercial sites
4. Basic tool requirements: measuring and types of fittings
5. Exploring the variety of curtain suspension systems and various types of blind fittings
6. Practical session:
• Fitting into various types of building materials
• Simple bending of tracks
7. How to cost time and labour effectively
8. Simple curtain hanging techniques including valances and ties
9. Question and Answer session
Fees: AMUSF Members £225 plus VAT. Non-Members £275 plus VAT
Advanced Track Fitting – Tuesday 9th March 2010 - 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Advanced Track Fitting course for curtains and blinds:
1. Introduction course outline and housekeeping
2. Health & Safety issues: Towers, scaffolding and working at heights
3. Exploring alternative types of fittings and a wide range of tools available
4. Looking at bay windows, arched windows and other more difficult shapes: measuring and fitting
5. Practical session:
• Fitting into a further variety of building materials
• Making up covered boards and laths
6. Advanced curtain handing techniques including pelmets and draperies etc
7. Are you making a profit? Costing complex projects
8. Questions & Answers
