Training with the AMUSF
Good training is imperative for a sound and productive business and in today’s economic climate, training can make the difference between survival and failure.
Having been concerned by the lack of good practical craft skills being offered, the AMUSF has, over the past few years, developed their our own range of Upholstery and Soft Furnishings qualifications.
We now have a suite of qualifications that have been devised by the trade for the trade and are assessed by industry experts.
Based on good practical traditional upholstery and soft furnishing skills, these qualifications may lead to employment within the industry or, with additional practice, may lead to you starting your own small business.
Good quality training is offered by our own AMUSF Approved Training Centres.

National Skills, Funding & Qualifications
If you are an employer looking to train your staff, there are still a few funded options open to you. Proskills are the Sector Skills Council for our Industry. They work to ensure that the skills and funding system delivers against the current and future needs of the industry.
