Elite Marine are a young company based in POOLE, DORSET who refit everything from 20ft day boats to 100ft super yachts with anything from decking to carpet and upholstery to vinyl wrapping. We work mostly in the UK but also in France, the rest of Europe and sometimes the Caribbean. We’re looking for someone experienced with doing all kinds of upholstery on yachts to a very high standard. Someone that can recover a chair one day and replace all the headlining the next. You’ll be helping deliver a 5 star experience to every single customer.

Busy furniture manufacturer in Staines, TW19, Surrey seeks an upholsterer for full or part time work.

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an upholsterer/tacker to join one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of theatre and cinema upholstered furniture companies. Based in Grays, Essex the company, founded in 1945, has achieved substantial growth over the last decade and forecast to continue. We are looking for a dynamic individual who, not only has the ability to complete exceptional products, but also has experience in using new technology to improve operational standards.
- Manage sewing team and equipment
- Produce prototype customer samples
- Manage production schedule and liaise with woodshop, upholstery and procurement
- Oversee stock levels and complete monthy stock counts
- Oversee Work In Progress
- Manage work area, keep clear, functional and efficient.
Core hours 08:00-16:30 Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
Key skills required:
- Experience of traditional upholstery techniques
- Ability to produce a quality product with excellent attention to detail
- Work efficiently to meet production deadlines.

We are currently looking for two experienced upholsterers.
If you have skills in traditional or contemporary upholstery, or both, and would like to work in a small busy workshop situated between the northern Pennines, the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales national parks then we may have a job for you.
